Panel discussion on SMEs and circular economy

Dominik Isler took the stage again, this time hosting a discussion on the circular economy and Swiss SMEs. Though this subject is very much present in the Swiss economy, as Silvan Lämmli, CEO and co-owner of PANOLIN AG says, “we don’t talk about it.” A reason for this could be, as Dominik Isler suggests, the fear of being accused of “green-washing”. The three companies represented on stage, PANOLIN AG, Girsberger Holding AG and Möbel Pfister AG, could not be accused of such thing. All three companies have started working towards a circular economy years ago. In doing so “one needs to look at the global context,” Matthias Baumann, CEO of Möbel Pfister AG says. Not only the global context, market demand and the regulations need to be looked at, Michael Girsberger, CEO of Girsberger Holding AG says, “it’s important to intrinsically want to make a progress.”
