cs and Tetra Pak working towards a circular economy

The keynote took an international perspective on how circular economy is implemented in two multinational companies. Robert Metzke, Global Head of Sustainability, Chief of Staff Innovation and Strategy of Philips showcased how the electronics company focused on healthcare is working towards a circular economy. Metzke states using integrated services and solutions and utilizing assets are not only beneficial for the company but also for their customers. “The Swiss are world champions in recycling, but we can do much more,” Josef Meyer, Key Account Director and Office Manager of Tetra Pak in Austria and Switzerland says. With the new guidelines from governments and other actors, like the single use plastic ban, Tetra Pak needs to close the loop and reinvent its business whilst sticking to their core service: keeping the content of the container safe. Both Metzke and Meyer emphasize the importance of working together in collaboration to build a working circular economy.
